Festival Arts

I work with the community to create lanterns and costumes for parades and festivals. I joined the creative team for Torchlight (my towns annual procession) in 2023, working as a community artist running workshops for the public and in schools. In 2024 I also worked with a local refugee group to create an entry ‘Birds of Hope’. In Feb 2024 I trained with Andrew Kim of Thingamajig theatre learning to make giant puppet lanterns. From the skills learnt I created a Swallow, my first giant puppet lantern. This has had a couple of outings at local festivals. The swallow and moon lantern are both for hire.
